We do not own the rights to this song - nor are we trying to insinuate that we do. We just really love the song that raises awareness about the bees - and wanted to share it with the world for this week's Musical Monday!

I grew up listening to oldies because my Dad always played them while driving. This song, originally sung by Otis Redding, was one of my absolute favorites. I'm not sure if my imagination was influenced more by Pee-Wee's Playhouse or McDonalds commercials - but every time I heard this song - this is pretty much who I imagined was singing.

When I first hear this song, I knew I liked it - even if I didn't completely understand it. As an adult, I understand it more...but I'd be lying if I said I completely understood it. I guess that's how art is though....there are some that understand the deeper meanings and there are some that just like the way it looks/sounds/feels. After years and years of knowing this song - this was the first time I've ever tried playing it on the autoharp.

I don't know if this was the first song I'd ever heard autotuning singers' voices or not - but this song was the first one I remembering really thinking "dang...that sounds neat" to when it was done. It's not really a song that works well in my range...but I sure enjoy making facial expressions like Cher. :)
