Don't Create Turtle8 - The Song!
So last year when the "Don't Create Turtle8" campaign was going on at EarthDayTexas within the CBRE booth, many people came up to me and said that they thought six-pack rings automatically decomposed in the sun through photodegradation. I decided to put that theory to test over the last year....find out the results in this video below!

The CBRE booth at Earth Day Texas 2014 is all about creating a better and safer world by protecting our ecosystem. The focus this year is on TURTLES! Turtles have a huge impact on the entire globe! But they are in danger from something that seems so innocent in our homes....those little plastic rings that connect your beverage cans and bottles together.
Plastic six-pack rings are supposed to photodegrade after about 90 days in the sunlight. But many times our pollution lies in the shadows or in the murky waters staying strong as ever and causing major problems for wildlife. Six-pack rings have been known to get caught around the shells of turtles - prohibiting a normal overall growth pattern and causing a condition known as Turtle8.
Do your part to prevent Turtle8. Cut your plastic six-pack rings.
